In America, Uber will even supply lease cars to people who drive for them or so my brother in California told me.

As an aside, my Land Rover will take 4 people and their suitcases no problem!

Also, my Toyota Alphard Hybrid would make a very fuel efficient Uber car, with room for 4 adults and luggage or 7 adults and no luggage. Has similar Hybrid to gen 1 Prius with the added benefit of an additional electric motor driving the rear wheels to provide 4WD if needed on poor surfaces etc.

I also have a sedan and it will comfortably hold 3 people and 3 large suitcases. There is always space between the back seat passengers if desperate times call for desperate measures (most people would have carry on too).

You don't get to choose what type of UberX car you get beforehand, and there's also no discount for a hatchback vs a sedan. Yes you can cancel, but what if you aren't familiar with car makes and models? What if the same driver accepts the fare again (from their perspective they don't know the reason you cancelled, could be you weren't ready). What if there's another hatch that accepts? What if there are no more Ubers?

My point is, plenty of people use Ubers to get to the airport. I feel there should be a separate and cheaper category for hatches (like UberXL) or increase the parameters and get rid of the hatch.

But hey, I'm just a casual user and aren't obligated to use their service so just an opinion.

It's in Auckland (or at least was, so I'm assuming it still is)
