To give you some idea of your car's value see if you can find some expired auctions on TradeMe. Talking of perished rubber, years ago I had a Datsun 260C and one day the left hand back door wouldn't close properly. Those cars had tiny little rubber 'boots' on the door latching striker mechanism. Luckily, the dealers still had them in stock even though it was a 13 year old car!

Sale was word of mouth, purchased by someone we knew.
I think it had a wof and reg.

The point is, this was a van we believed should go to the wreckers or scrappie. Fertiliser is horribly corrosive, and you'll never get the smell out.
And someone paid a grand for it.

The value of the car, is what someone is prepared to pay for it.

Chances are its rusting under the windscreen then. Again.
I had the same thing done on a Ford Laser years back, it started rusting there again within a few years.

Put it on trademe for $200 reserve .
