@Ge0rge  @mdooher I agree about removing the tow ball. If an adjustable spanner could remove a tow ball without removing at least 500grams of flesh then that tow ball was not secure enough. Also, adjustable spanners should never be in any toolbox but that's a story for another time and place.

That's assuming there's an approved model of towbar like that available.
