I sat in the Toyota X today, it is very comfy. Also on the 2cheapcars site, the fuel saver is only 400 dollars more for the 2.5 Toyota X than that 1.8 Bluebird. How can that be?
Also is it hard to get the GPS thing to work for these jap cars?
Ive got a 2006-2011 shape Bluebird Sylphy. This is the 2.0 with the CVT transmission.
It gets reasonable economy around town, about 8.5l/100km . Recent trip to Palmerston north from Auckland i used 38Litres and that was 540Km's which works out to be roughly 7.1l/100km, so its not too bad on gas for a 2.0.
It has great boot space and excellent leg room in the back if you want to carry passengers.
Factory integrated units with GPS from Japan wont work in NZ, they generally cannot be converted either so you would have to replace. Also be aware that some of the clocks on Japanese imported cars cannot be changed to NZ timezone.
