joker97: Toyota mark comes in RWD and 4WD

Pretty sure the 350S is only RWD, with the 250G4 being the 2.5-litre AWD variant.

You could be right. I'm never sure on specifics of JDM models ... Any permutation is possible!

I'm totally biased... get a 540i!
There's NOTHING like the intake roar of the V8 when you nail it... and watch the tacho hit 6500 in a heartbeat (and the traction control light up on a dry road at 60) innocent

In usual BMW style, the "factory kilowatts" was basically a minimum... There's been many a new V8 SS (and one R8) commodore that's been embarrassed by my 20 year old 7 series (in a closed environment aka drag strip).

joker97: What about a 3.5L Toyota Mark xxx? Since you mentioned Lexus

Boring.... I vote the IS350 or possibly an S4 wagon instead of an RS4

I actually looked at an Audi before I bought my latest (5th) BMW...

This bit turned me off... this is the timing chain, at the BACK of the engine...

Says it does, but that's a minimum whereas an xr6 is probably the max...
I've driven both (xr6 was a rental) and the BMW would kill it daily. And who reaaally wants a ford or holden? tongue-out

edit: oh, a "dudmd" tune (guy from bimmerforums) can tune for waay more HP for $250 over the internet if you buy the right cable for your laptop.

BMW tune conservatively.

I'd take an S6 with Miltek over most the options here actually.

After the upgrade starts at 48 seconds.

I came this close -> to buying a second-hand 2003 S8 when I was living in Dubai - wanted one ever since the movie Ronin.

In the end I plumped for the ubiquitous 4x4 instead. Still regret it.
