I know many people with multiple vehicles because of running cost on the large one. Usually a prado or something hugely fuel hungry.

I get a discount on insurance for multiple cars, why not the rego too? Not like I can drive more than one at a time.

I do see your point but I just see the alternative as too problematic.

So far as I understand it, mobile and wifi is only harmful at the source (IE if you leave you head next to your router). Thats RF - dangerous only near the source (if you doubt this, look at the EM of the sun)

EV's don't run on RF. They are electromagnets. The same people that fear powerlines, love magnets, claim they have numerous positive health effects :P

Dont try to reason science with people into that sort of stuff. They also wear copper because its good, but want to spray something copper based onto a plant and that's bad.

Then I would be the second.
The small Starlet I have serves only one purpose - to drive me few kms to work in the CBD and to find me the free parking lot where no other car will fit (FYI: Starlet is 15cm smaller than Echo/Yaris which makes huge difference when parking). If I had a job in Greenlane Business area - I would sell that car straigh away and go to work by foot :-)
Anyone in Millenium / Greenlane (Auckland) Business area?

I guess a lot of families have second car (or bike) just to drive to work, not for any other reason.
If office buildings had charge points - that would attract businesses to choose EVs or PHEVs for their operations fleet and would encourage employees to shift to small EVs for commuting to work.
What's in it for landlords in the office buildings is still to be figured out.
I propose there should be incentives in the form of carbon credits, property taxes or alike if you as landlord can demonstrate that >50% of your business teenants use EVs for their fleet and by doing so not polluting the city.
