Most shops use alignments as a money grab, The machines are super expensive, take up a lot of space and cost a lot to keep in order. Half of them are probably not even calibrated.
A decent alignment would be anywhere from 20 minutes up to an hour. Good luck recovering any cost from that..

Paired with a clueless kid who cares more about how hard their car can skid than your alignment its a recipe for disaster.

I've only ever really trusted dealership alignments. All the machines have to be up to spec and they always have someone who knows what they are doing on it. At least the Giltrap group did....

I'd suggest going to Giltrap prestige for an alignment, Peter knows whats up, he corner balances and aligns all the Porsche race and targa cars that come through.

Coil: Just make sure all of them are orientated the correct way. As these have an outside and inside edge.
Otherwise, Book in with your mechanic. If you are based on the North Shore of Auckland then i strongly recommend Causeway Motors on barrys point road. I wont give an essay why but as someone with an automotive background and quite the petrol head i can not go past them.

I'm quite sure they are all on the correct way, but I will double check.

I'm in Christchurch unfortunately, so any local recommendations from anyone would be great.

Find a specialist alignment place (not a tyre shop, all they'll do is toe adjustment, and there's some tricks they know that'll make camber look better too) and if it still pulls, go to a panelshop with a chassis aligner.

Don't trust Toyota (or any other dealer either)... These days, 70% of mechanics in dealerships are apprentices.

My brother, and a good mate used to work in tire shops. The alignment job is a bit more specialised and one of the more elite jobs in the shop. It is usually the domain of the guys who have done their time and know their stuff. They don't generally let the 'kids' play on the gear and not on customers cars.

We can see from the printout scan that a 'kid' hasn't set this car up with mean skids in mind.

TBH, a tire shop that does 100 alignments a week is going to be better at it than a dealer who does 10 a month. Many of the dealers recognise this and send their cars to local tire shops anyway. My mate use to do alignments for dealers on K'Rd (Auckland). Jobs for the dealers ranged from a customer requested it to the mechanics getting a while-they-wait alignment done after replacing ball-joints and bushes.
