I'll likely need replacements for my Run Flats for my BMW 335D Wagon. 255/35/R19. Anyone got a recommendation. Want loads of Grip ideally not too noisy and obviously, not $1000 a corner :0

for comfort i'd recommend continental sport contact 6. but slightly less wall stiffness and WILL cost you an eye and a kidney :D

PS4 is slight softer I reckon, but grips probably similar to ps3... both were quiet for a while. They are both noisy on chip seal but that’s just physics. Good tyres though my ps3 only lasted 27k or so? Rear anyway, fronts still got some life left at 34k

No such thing as RFT PS4's according to discount tyres, but perelli and conti's were both $760 a corner!!!

Last two sets of new Continental CrossContact's on the X5 have cost $800 and $700 fitted. Both sets from tyre companies after buyers have replaced stock wheels with bigger alloys.

A couple of months ago I picked up a set of brand new alloys for our Ford Focus, wrapped in brand new PS4's, for $600 :)

I have PS3's on my 535is and they are stunning tyres. I can't remember the price, I think it was $800 again from one of the places I bought the X5 tyres from.

Very lucky man!

It's just being in the right place at the right time.

The second set of Conti's saw me check TM every day for about 4 months !

Just replaced all four tires on my 2013 VF Commodore with Bridgestone Potenzas Re003 for $299 a corner from Tony's in Glenfield. Opted to fill them all with nitrogen too to see what the difference was/will be in the long run.

Oh and got new 2017 Commodore stock rims (pictured) for under $400 on TM too!

So far am very happy with them. Handles and corners very well. The noise is very minimal, although I do have the radio on most of the time, and the cabin is pretty soundproof too. When I got them, it was raining very hard, and they were fine.

With Nitrogen fill, I've heard that they don't have to be refilled as often, and apparently they don't heat up as much too.

So a year after starting this thread, I finally sorted new tyres - the old ones *just* got me through the WOF but they really needed gone.

I went to Tony's Tyres in the end - they price-matched based on an offer Hyperdrive had on which was the best price I could find...still cost me $1600 for a full set fitted, but I guess I got 3 years and nearly 40,000km out of the OEM pair, so not too painful. ( I won't bother going on again at just how inflated (pun intended) the prices were compared to UK, but still - ouch)

I went for the Goodyear F1 AS3 despite the hard sell from Tony's on the new Bridgestone Potenza S007A...

So far I am really, really happy with them; quieter, more comfortable and more supple than the Pirellis, handle/turn really well and the front wheel grip under hard acceleration is light years better - night and day! Not had to use them in the wet yet, so fingers crossed they are as competent then as in the dry.

For what sizes ?

I recently replaced the RFT's on my BMW E90 320d 6 speed msport with 225/45/17 RE003's on the front and 255/40/17 S001's on the rest for 1k all up including alignment.

The difference over the RFT's is night and day.

225/35/19 which is a bit of an odd one they seem to use on the smaller VAG sportier cars.

They offered the Bridgestone Potenza S007a for $1500 all up and I was quite tempted but their weren't many reviews for them yet and I knew they would be as noisy as my Pirellis which I didn't want.

Got some Goodyear Eagle F1s from discount tyres for what I think was a decent price. I just emailed through their online forms and asked what they could do and the quote seemed decent.

I think the thing I liked about them the most was they came straight back with a very clear quote with a decent price for 4 different models, all with the exact brand and model number clearly stated. Everywhere else I contacted suggested crappy Chinese brands initially, or just gave generic prices like "I can do bf goodrich 140 each" or "kumhos 145 each"... yeah but what model? What other options do you have, etc, etc?

Tonys was OK last time I dealt with them (Ended up getting some Potenzas for a sharp price, but only because they didn't have the next model down that they initially quoted me on when I got to the store) - but it always seems like they will just do the bare minimum to beat a price you've already got. I want a decent price from the get go...
