Pretty good deals.

Yep, some good deals indeed. The Audio Technica ATH-M40X headphones are a steal at $120. They sound absolutely fantastic and in many instances outperform headphones that are much pricier. The Audioengine speakers they have on sale are also well below RRP.
The audioengine 2+ caught my eye. But I have the AE 2 which are perfectly happy where they are. But an absolute bargain for someone looking for awesome 2.0 setup

I actually ordered the A2+ speakers from them during the Easter sale (but later cancelled - which Computer Lounge very classily readily acceded to; these guys are amazing) and with the Easter sale discount, they were already one of the cheapest around. The price on offer now is amazing. For anyone tempted by their speaker specials, note that CL have quite a few of them available to demo in-store.
I tried out a friend's set (didn't even know that he had one) and for some kinds of music, I can hear a pretty obvious degree of mids boosting. But many people are unlikely to be bothered by this and at $345, this is a steal.
Am I missing something? The A2+ speakers are listed at $499 which I seem to remember being full price?
Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Stu: The sale ended midnight last night.
Ah silly me. And bollocks!! (that I missed out). What were the A2+ priced at during the sale?
I think they were $350?

Try Tiens at Stereotype. He operates an online shop but is an authorised dealer of all the brands that he sells. If you are based in Auckland especially and am prepared to pick-up, I am sure he'll give you a damn good deal. Might not be as good as the price CL had during the sale but it will better the price of almost every other place. The NZ AV market at the lower end is not very competitive at all in my experience. Everyone tends to sell at the same price, bar one or two shops.
P.S. I and other friends have bought from Tiens/Stereotype. He's reliable.
