On sale atm from DSE for $399. PB Tech is around $575. Im very tempted just so I dont have 2x24" sitting on my desk anymore. Pity they dont have the 34's.
Im guessing warranty would be covered by LG here?

If you look at the AU DSE site they have heaps of monitors. It seems everything on the NZ site is < $400 because GST. I have actually bought one at PB for about $400 before and returned it unopened when I realized I had bought the 1080 one.
Height wise they are similar to a 24" 1920x1080 so I think the low res would be ok on the 29, but the 34 at twice the price and the same low-res is a no go for me. The price goes crazy on 21:9 when you go to 1440p panels.
Yeah PB tend to have them on sale fairly often. I saw the 34 for $600 once, and by the time Id debated it with myself they had sold out.
Damn I was hoping this would go unnoticed until next payday haha. It's been on the DSE site for a good 3 weeks now.
Well they sent out an email about them today.. So.... :)
I have an AOC branded version of this and love it. It does sit beside a 24" 1920x1200 as I move between 4 applications all day (2 on each display, slightly overlapped).
I was tempted to get another one, but after being stung with GST and duties recently (due to an exchange rate shift on a Kickstarter deal) I'm concerned that $399 might be close enough to $400 for the delightful people at Customs.
