Amazon Prime Day 2019 will be a two days event:

Prime Day starts at midnight PT on Monday, July 15 and – for the first time ever – runs for 48 hours, offering members two full days with more than one million deals around the world. Sign up to prime on the monthly plan. Heaps of products will ship here, if they don't, use youshop. There are usually a couple of items that interest me.

I was looking at that, might be a nice improvement over TV-over-ARC until they have a decent sale on Shields.

On the other hand, it is $12.99 USD just to sign up for Prime; is there any other benefit to this in NZ? Or any other deals that might make it worth signing up?

Otherwise if I am just signing up to get this deal and cancelling, kind of not worth it.

I already have Prime Video, so I guess thats $4 USD right there, but I will probably resign with 2degrees and get that for free anyway.

They were offering 30 days free trial to prime. Unless they turn that off for Prime Day.

I have an Amazon Fire Tablet 8 kids on the way. I'm on a free month's prime membership so the tablet is $80, shipped via Youshop. Youshop's pages say they will take electronics with a battery in it, but not devices that are mostly batteries like USB batter packs.

Fire HD 10 tablet for 99.99 seems quite good to me, as does the 4K stick for 24.99, as mentioned above I think.
