Wow, seems I haven't been paying attention to USB flash drive capacity/pricing much recently.  Gone are the days of my first USB flash drive which was a 128MB Transcend and it cost $149!!!  Saved me buying an additional ZIP disk at the time.

I remember buying a 256MB USB drive in 2003 for $150... I think that was trade price not retail.

About a year ago a client dropped me in 300MB worth of high resolution photos on a flash drive he'd just bought for this purpose.  It was a 128GB Sandisk which seemed crazy so I looked up the RRP at the time and was about $110 then.  That wasn't all that long ago.
