I don't know. There's a standing seven-day trial offer with automatic payment after the period.

 

It's anyone's guess how "three days free" is different from a seven-day trial until it starts.

 

Or is the "three days free" available to new and old subscribers and previous trial users? Again, who knows?

Yea I got a notification on my iPhone and just had to open the app.
Checked the Subscriptions in iCloud and it doesn’t appear to have added anything in there so shouldn’t need to cancel any automatic subscription that Apple might put you on.
