Wow, is that really a laptop for 2000 bucks, that is considered a bargin?

That's crazy. How much does it normally rip you off, I mean cost?

$2,699. Again as someone pointed DSE will have no stock of this

Is this their normal business practice?

There have been some unhappy customers still waiting for their products and also not getting much help from DSE about the status of the order lately. I thought of buying at that price however reading this forum and what some people have experienced I decided not to.

I had to really out the pressure on for them to fulfill my order after waiting nearly 3 weeks. No explanation for the delay. It is all done offshore, they don't use NZ staff for their online operations, so communicating with them isn't easy. There online store is advertising things that they can't seem to provide, just seem to be major problems.

One of our customers bought one of these and got it shipped directly to our store so we could do the data transfer from their failed MacBook Pro.
It arrived within a few days of them ordering it online.
To have them at that price I'd say dse had stock at the old rrp, before Apple increased them, and decided to sell them at cost.

Showing up @ $2400 for me

It was a 1 day sale only.

Yabanize: Any good router deals around $100?

Here's one. wink

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Nahh its hopeless, tried that one and the collet was very poorly made, very easy to have the bit running off centered which makes it all jumpy and do a horrible cut.

I found it didn't have enough Ethernet ports either ;-)

I understand the urge, but I promise you, you will be MUCH happier in the medium and Long term with an ANKER.

Nutribullet @ Briscoes, 12 piece set $119, cheapest alternative price is $180 at NL. Gets 10/10 at trusted reviews and 9.3 from user ratings aggregated. Couple of downsides;

1) Blades not dish washer safe
2) Noisy
3) Not suitable for hot liquids.

Sorry a bit OT, but is there really nothing even close to the Anker available locally?   Is this still the one to get?

Anker at amazon

That's nice. Are Dick Smith having a sale? By the looks of how quiet their store was this morning I'm guessing no.
