Pricing error. The ChoiceCheapies thread is brimming with saltiness at JB Hifi for not giving everyone a half price Surface Pro 😅

Definitely entertaining 😄 . Now I know most of JB Hi-Fis terms and conditions.

The saltiness is definitely strong for a select few of them. Made me laugh at the entitledness displayed hahaha

Re the monitors, I'm an ultrawide convert.

Picked one up for video editing and absolutely love it.

Would like a higher res option for smoothness/clarity, but like others would want the same font size.

Me too. I've got a (cheap) 3440x1440p ultrawide 21:9 aspect ration. It's brilliant - sort of back to the days of two square monitors side by side rather than two widescreens. I do a lot of text/document/word based work and it's fantastic for two docs open side by side.

That's super interesting, I got the wife a 34" Samsung QLED wide screen (https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MONSAM34J791/Samsung-LC34J791-34-Curved-Ultrawide-Monitor-With) and I absolutely hated it - I just can't get over the pixel density.

Each to their own needs I guess.

i think 1440p at that size is at the line where some could see the pixels and some can't. but can tell you 2160 (4k height) and 1440 is a big jump - 50% to be exact.

so the scaling changes by 1/3, or a lot, with regards to legibility of words

but if you're after pixel density, then that same 1/3 is amazing

can't win with windows
