sonyxperiageek: I think I saw an ad that Briscoe's were having a "MASSIVE SALE"..!

That's nice. Are Dick Smith having a sale? By the looks of how quiet their store was this morning I'm guessing no.

They sure are. Their biggest sale of the year apparently. I think Dick Smith sale scale (now referred to as DSSS) should be related to their price of their HDMI cable price. For example today the price is $2.00. This means today is a Standard Sale Day (referred to from here as a DSSSD - also as a side note a DSSSD is every day). A super mega sale day (DSSMSD) would be HDMI cables at $0.70 each.

Cheers, Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Was in dse Sylvia Park this morning. Had so called bargain bins of jawbone up fitness trackers @ $100+, they were in the same bin last week for $49. They are taking the pass.

Did score a Sony wireless srs X77 speaker for $298 @ jbhifi $100 lower than the Sony store on special. Has google cast Bluetooth, WiFi & airplay. Very pleased

managed to get a PS4 this morning from HN. was third to the shop at 7:20, at 7:50 all these cars turned up and people just pushed their way to the front door, no manners at all for the people who were waiting. a few of them grabbed a PS4 also, i would of been pissed if i missed out. the funny thing was that one of them picked up a PS3 and started beelining it to the counter, ha ha

540trickzter: I'm after a Brush Cutter to cut our empty section as the grass has overgrown to knee height and waist height around the sides. Can anyone recommend me a make and model or any good specials? Looking to spend $300 or under. What brands to stay away from?

Morrison bc260 split shaft check out M10 with their voucher deal

I just went in and bought this. Hopefully it does the job.

A comparable model I was looking at was the Ryobi 25.4cc from Bunnings for $249. But ended up going with the Morrison because of your recommendation, plus I get a $50 voucher.

I'll go back in tomorrow and use the $50 voucher to buy a bottle of 2 stroke oil and a oil mixer bottle.

So I went to Harvey Norman, looking for a laptop, but they didn't have either of the models I was after. Only FHD screen laptop they had was the one with the AMD A8 processor and SSD. Wasn't 100% convinced about the A8 so decided to give it a miss. Went to Noel Leeming and was relieved HN didn't have the HP's, the Lenovo's are much nicer. Got this one https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/computers/computers/laptops/pc-notebook-computers/lenovo-80k600gvau-15-6-fhd-notebook/prod139229.html for $1120. $125 more than the HP's are HN but it has an i5 and the chassis/keyboard/trackpad etc are much nicer to use. This should last me a few more years :)

This, for the same cost you can trade in the full HD display for this years CPU (i7 6500U) and a better GPU.  This years CPU chipsets also have better support for hardware HEVC decoding, so it will be of benefit when movie downloads go to 4K HEVC
