scottjpalmer: SIII does 850 and 900 3G in the same model yeah?

I've ordered one as a temporary phone, can't go wrong!

It does, yes.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

I have however ordered one on behalf of Miss 20.

BigHammer: Tempted myself, but still going to get the Z1 Compact for it's IP55/IP58 protection.

Yeah, this is just interim until I can get an IP65/IP68 Z3 Compact post Z Ultra screen breaking this week :-)

Should so the job nicely. At $300 they were an okay buy. At $200 it's a steal.

muppet: You want to ensure if you DO buy one (and that's a great price) you don't get a phone with the buggy Flash Chip.

Because even though the later firmwares seem to do something to help correct the issue, that fix seems to cause latency and lagginess.

How you'd tell before you purchased one though, that I don't know.

I think they took about 12 months to appear with that problem and most of them were a certain batch -  possibly not helped by an OS problem that hammered a certain part of the memory. I wouldnt think it likely any of the phones on the market would be that old.

Also - as noted install any OS updates and you should be fine.

Bugger, just went to queen st store and sold out. They also said likely no more as even the online team is ringing them to try and fill orders. Also keen to know if anyone gets a price match as might try that on the way home.

Warehouse Stationery don't stock the Spark version of the S3, only the Vodafone version. Looks like JB have sold out as well and they only match if it is in stock at the competitor. But you could still try your luck.

That was darn cheap, the equivalent Chinese clone phone (STAR S4/S5/S6) runs about $235NZ shipped. So to get a genuine Galaxy S3 for this price is mad.

Im quite fortunate that my department does mobile app testing so we get access to all the latest Apple and Android devices. I love comparing my Chinese Imports (STAR and Zopo) against the big brands, and their features and performance for price never fails to amaze me and the people who constantly oggle my current phone (Zopo 980+) and ask...whoa what sort of phone is that.

....and I love it.

Heck is that the S2 that I sold you? There is still some in stock here in Dunedin I believe if anyone wants me to pick one up.
