I've had Linksys WAG54GP2 and WAG310G, wireless on both were crap, although admittedly they were only wireless G, haven't had any experience with any dual band ac routers though. I have UFB 30/10 at home and a TP Link 300N wireless router hanging off the RGW, reception on the TP Link has been fantastic.
Wow, just received the router and am playing with the smart wifi apps.
Linksys app Net Proofer for Android is brilliant, quickly blocking any site you want (including HTTPS) from anywhere in the world (you create an account with linksys and associate your router with it, enabling you to access from anywhere)
I was using the EA4500 for the last year or so but then it started failing on me and in the end i just got frustrated by it and got a TP Link. So far the TP Link has been going good for me but it is a Wireless N router and it isnt nearly as powerful as the EA4500. I am quite tempted by the EA6700 (or even the 6500) but I am weary of Linksys now! I was leaning towards getting a DLINK as my next router (or even a NETGEAR). When I say failing, I mean the internet was dropping 5-10 times a day. It wasnt the modem since the modem was always connected - I contacted my ISP to confirm this as well.
Is there anyone here who thinks I should give Linksys another go? Or maybe I just had a bad model or something and Linksys are generally quite good?
