mattwnz: Only 9 have been purchased, not exactly a great success. Looks like an ok deal if you have already decided to go with them, but not sure if they are pitching it to the right market.

I imagine it's pretty hard to find alot of customers that:

Don't want a homeline/supported VOIP solution
Are prepared to pay higher prices for unlimited data offerings
Don't require phone support
Are prepared to impulse buy it

Exactly, which is why you have to wonder why it was worth bothering, as they would have to pay quite a bit to run the campaign anyway. Their market is really the more technical market, perhaps small businesses, who are not probably going to be big on these deal websites.

Is unlimited adsl plan from big pipe now expensive per month. I though their prices seemed ok.

$79 unlimited is a really good price. I get $75 unlimited with Vodafone but that's because of my on contract phone. If I didn't have that I would go with Bigpipe, unlimitedinternet ($69) or Cyberpark ($79). All having no contract so good to try out and move on if no good :-)

well i was debating the spark deal with the free bigpipe deal, but with a $100 credit its just sold itself.

dont see what is confusing about the deal, you buy the deal for $20, you get a credit and a months free net. and im really thick when it comes to IQ related matters ;-p

I took the plunge and signed up, was still a little hesitant at first but the prompt reply via email for requesting a public IP must have been 5-10minutes. Not use to that :-)

Incoming connections will work on a public IP, so voip has a better chance of working, and you can connect into things like cameras etc. Sometimes gaming needs it to host games. things like that.

Bigpipe connections are behind CGNAT by default. You can opt out and get a public IP instead.

So really there is no benefit to a couple in having CGNAT? I dont see what benefit it provides. No biggy either way.
