Web site says "Sign up is no longer required for Google Earth Pro. Click here to download Earth Pro, then sign in using your email address and the License Key GEPFREE."
It didn't like my primary Gmail address and I think it may be because my original (free) Google Earth was associated with my primary Gmail account. I signed up for Pro using a seperate Gmail account (used for logging into American itunes / Netflix et al) and it worked fine.
Anyway, for home use I cant see that there is much (any) difference between the free and the Pro versions. But still pleased to have the bells and whistles version...just in case.
Will accept gmail addresses, my Google Earth was associated to my Gmail as well and went through fine on a 2nd attempt. Its not the addresses at fault, more the system being overloaded.
