reven: it annoys me cause I was going to go down to pbtech at lunch to get a few things, but figured I'd wait for the sale.  Probably end up getting stuff off trademe now....

Well the inflated RRP has pee'd me off a bit so I have just sent a message to LG about how they are inflating the RRP to make the sale look better.

good on ya :D

im just buying stuff off ebay instead.  Ill get a eneloop quick charger off pbtech, that is $10 cheaper than normal price, but thats the only thing Ive seen cheaper (well more than a few cents)

Oh don't get me wrong "sometimes" they do have a great deal (I got a security camera for less than 1/2 price, 90nz and amazon had them 170US). The problem I have is them upper the rrp dropping the price by a dollar and calling it a sale and making it out as a $250 savings.

These guys are really starting to take the piss. They have grown massive in recent years but they need to remember who their customers are. I've saved heaps by buying off overseas websites and will continue to do so if this kind of "Sale" carries on.

The answer to your question is no it isn't loading for me either. Clicking the banner just refreshes the page...and when I look at other products I was interested in, the price seems to have gone up.

PB tech is equivalent to Godfrey, Briscoes.

Im still seeing the RRP as $688, even empty cache and tried it on IE (which i never use) and still 688 here.

Edit: Oh I see, on the front page they have it as $478 but once you click it shows 423 including GST, they can't even get the pricing correct on the site.

It was never illegal, it was against the credit card company's T&Cs

It is only fair, they pass on what credit card company charges them. Isn't it the credit card companies who are the crooks charging 3% of the transactions.

You can bargain the CC fee down to 1.5% with them.

Pricing is a mess on the site. It's even worse when you login to see your prices and sometimes they are higher than the special ones till you add to cart and stuff.

Well, yes, maybe large retailers can negotiate the fees down. I end up paying 4.3% to paypal on every $30 credit card transaction via my small ecommerce website. Any NZ solution I could find works out more expensive.

Total amount:   $29.95 NZD Fee amount:   -$1.47 NZD Net amount:   $28.48 NZD
