People still look at those? I thought they were put on purely for the good feeling you get when taking the decal stickers off a brand new product during the unboxing ceremony/review video.
Most of the negative comments and reviews on Veon TVs come down to the snob factor. After returning the fault ridden LG with terrible backup support for the Veon we haven't looked back.
Spending 3-4 hours on the LG still didnt result in a good picture, with noticable back light and banding issues. Veon plugged in and was up and running in 10 minutes, picture is great. $499 for a 47" TV over more than a year ago and it is sitll going strong.
Amen. I have no problem with the picture quality of my two 50" Veons. Sound is a bit ropy, but can be sharpened up with some external kit at no great cost. The "Smart TV" thing is dodgy and I wonder if they would be better off without it. That said, I run Netflix and Hulu more or less OK except that occasionally the screen turns to mush, the sound goes to buzz and I have to turn the TV off and on and reselect the program. SOmething of a PITA but I'm sufficiently old, tech-savvy and tolerant that I put up with it. I really should just hook up my Apple TV again :-).
