Love our Apple TV. We watch motorcycle racing on MotoGP.com and it does an awesome job over AirPlay from our iPhone/iPad or even a very old iPod touch.
iDear: The Apple TV is sure nice and I side loaded PLEX on to it so I use it everyday.
Anyway, this Apple TV is a 3 years old model and at the end of it product cycle. Its very likely Apple will announce a new Apple TV later this year and possible come to app store (and higher price).
I personally will not buy the current Apple TV at this stage.

I think they will want to keep it affordable, but with the weaker NZ dollar it will possibily be close to $200 NZD
