Dam that PBtech deal for an XBOX One S at $399 is bloody tempting.
I need that Samsung 4k player to go down under $500, would rather that to be honest.

I was going to go into their store this morning but I would be a drowned rat before I wheeled more than 10 meters, so rained off for me.
Probably a good thing you didn't bother since the sale doesn't start until 16:00.
Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
Stan: 55inch veon 4k tv at the warehouse for $622.11
my 55" veon 1080p tv purchase last year was one of the worst purchases ive ever made. Terrible terrible picture (bad colours), ended up putting in the kids lounge. just FYI. obviously a different tv (1080p vs 4k), just something to be aware of.

Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Also they don't release their IR codes, so if you're a harmony remote activities type of geek, this is a major. The remote never knows for sure what input the TV is on etc, as it can't force an 'hdmi 1' command to the TV for example.

yeah I ran into that problem. and its so easy to get them out of sync. it thought it was on hdmi 1 but really on 2, so when it went down to 3 it ended up on hdmi4 or something. PITA.

Is this problem common to all Veon TVs, including their current range?
I've considered replacing our old Panasonic plasma (768!) with a cheap Veon, given only the kids watch that TV, but if that's the case re Harmony remotes it's a no-goer for us as we use Harmony Ones with both our systems. The brats are too used to pressing a single button to sort out all settings!
Usually those cheap off brand TVs have generic remotes that they just get labeled up with what they need and then set the TV to respont appropriatly.
I have an cheapo android TV box that has the same shaped remote as an off brand JB TV (sonix I think) and every button in the same physical place on the STB remote does what the one in the same space of the TV remote does. Some are not present, but the play/pause/skip controls are where the useless things like aspect and captions are on the junk TV, and do the same things.
So since they are programming up the TV to match the generic remotes they have printed, I doubt they would program up discrete input selection. One of mine has a DTV/ATV button that will kick it to the tuner, and then source will cycle from that so perhaps it can be made automatic on a harmony?
