I bought this set from Harvey Norman on boxing day for $1,988 for the 55".

 

Maybe have a look there and see if they've still got them.

I went back the other day and got a refund of the price difference from the boxing day sale price which was $1988. So they refunded me $611. And Samsung has also given me the $200 cashback offer which was last months promotion. So in the end I got the 55KS8000 for $1788 :)

 

 

 

 

Wow, that is a crazy sharp price, even months later. Well done!
