Handsomedan:

Secondary question - apologies for the hijack:

Does this indicate that iPhone sales are down on predicted volumes, with the discounts being offered so soon after launch?

I wouldn't think so, as has been stated most telcos do deals like this for people that cannot afford to buy them outright then stick them with an overpriced plan for months later to recoup the costs.

Delivery times for 16 pro's are 2-3 weeks and 16 pro max 3-4 weeks from apple which shows similar demand to previous years.

Panasonic 65GZ1000, Onkyo RZ730, Atmos 5.1.2, AppleTV 4K, Nest Mini's, PS5, PS3, MacbookPro, iPad Pro, Apple watch SE2, iPhone 15+

I was thinking the same if whether to pay cash + one of the Kogan plans vs this deal.

Kogan plans are around $15/month (when on special) vs $92 so about $60 difference, which in one year is about $700 difference..

Exactly what I did, been on Kogan 15Gb for a year and just signed on another. Amazing value when compared to the big telcos

Does any one know if the $700 is applied on day one or spread over the 12 months?

It’s spread out over the interest free period -12/24/36 months. If it was applied day 1, you could churn the next day and Spark would then be down $700.

yup thats fair, was just curious.

I've just did the math, and if you're still better off (ever so slightly) going  on the $92 pay monthly plan if you're currently on the $20 prepaid and pay the discounted $10 for spotify.

Spark will take $10 off the $92 for 12 months if you move from prepaid to pay monthly

I did enquire a while back and the best deal is if you sign up with multiple people in a ‘team up’ plan.
Apparently each person will get $700 off an iphone 16

So in theory if you team up 4 people the $92 endless plan will be
$59.80 p/m each with spotify premium and each with $700 off an iPhone 16

I guess, if you look at it like that. But if you’re on a $20 prepay plan, moving to the $92 is pure overkill. The whole $700 credit is getting sucked up by the massive plan increase, so you’re essentially just paying for the phone at normal cost on interest free. As mentioned above: you’re better to get at least one other person on your account so you start receiving discounts on all plans.

They will be losing money on the phone and will be making it back in your plan term
