Yes. I know many people that tried it on crappy home LCD shutter glass TVs and were so disappointed in it that gave up on it. Shame since 4k panels mean that there wont be as bad stripes for the polarized ones, but even then, the stripes will still be offensive enough that it would bother me.

 

 

 

 

OT:

 

I got the last 3D 4k capable model Sony made. The X8500c. I didn't wan't 3D but thought it was a "bonus".

 

It didn't come with glasses so I bought my own.

 

The 3D is crap. Can't have a nearby light on due to flickering.

 

Passive 3D on my old LG was better.

Harvey Norman are advertising a Samsung 40" HD Smart for $697. I assume that will have Tizen 2016 etc.

Veon is ok for what it is.

Adding $150 to the veon price gets the Samsung with Smart features and decent TV sound.

Edit: To be specific the comparison was the veon 40".
