So I have to actually brave the madding crowd to maybe get a chance of snagging 1 of 20 pairs of MH-1000 Headphones in stock? No online?

Hmmm - think I might pass, however tempting a price it is.

Does anyone know what the Duty Free price for the WH-1000M3 is? I am flying next week and it might be a better option!

majiktripp:

What are the odds of Noel Leeming or Harvey Norman price-matching any of the offers that PBTech are advertising here?

Anyone had success trying that? They are in-store prices, and should be eligible for price-matching...right?

According to the NL website:

"Price Promise applies only to regular, in-stock product offered for sale from a New Zealand retail home appliance dealer. Excludes limited quantities, special event pricing, trade quotes, stock liquidations and commercial quantities and parallel imported products. All New Zealand retailer website product offers will be considered where the product is the same."

Given the Black Friday sale is both "special event pricing" and "limited quantities" I very much doubt they would match here.

Dratsab:

Never been to one of these before (couldn't previously be bothered) - do they tend to attract long queues? If so, I'll probably wait for a Cyber Monday sale.

I swung by the North Shore branch a year or two ago, having never been to one of these sales. I had trouble even driving into the road, and as I neared the block where the shop was there was a massive jam of cars and cars parked all over the place. What looked to me like an angry mob of people were in the car park outside the shop (probably just people waiting to be let in). I decided not to bother and just kept on driving.

The Huawei mobiles would be a good temptation for me.

But the limited stock label scares me off.

Right guys, let's remove all but 10from the shelf thanks..
Finally get In the door..and gone.

Cause you know there's bound to be TM sellers there purely to do low quantity make a buck flicks.

Thanks - that's probably the way to go then! I did check on Noel Leeming click/collect and it looks like they are out of stock almost everywhere...

For the people talking headphones.... I see that PB Tech's daily deal is a pair of Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 down to $69 from $399: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/HSTSEN506251/Sennheiser-Momentum-20-I-M2-On-Ear-Headphones---Bl

Disclaimer: I have no idea if these are any good or not

PB Tech always follow these sales with an online one... I expect there to be an online sale tomorrow with the same pricing.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I'm looking to snag me a Huawei P20 or P20 Pro but stock looks to be limited. Does PBTech allocate a certain amount of stock just for Cyber Monday? or would I have to brave the queue today for one?

They do....but not much. You'll likely be backordered and fufilled 2-4 weeks later.

You might be lucky, or not. I've been back and forth to Sydney 3 times in the last 3 weeks and I've seen them as low as $399, but most recently they were back up to $479 or something like that. Wait to see what the price is on-line tomorrow and if they're still $399 I would pick them up rather than take the chance with Duty Free.

Regarding "Special event pricing":

Isn't black friday a sale, not a special event (e.g. Noel Leeming ASB Showgrounds event would be a special event I would say, whereas Black Friday is just a sale day like "Queen's Birthday").

IANAL, but I would call the Black Friday sale "special event pricing". As in, you can't buy the item for the same price right now, or tomorrow.
