I also had the same thing last year with some headphones, I even got a tracking number for the courier but then they refunded as they could not get more stock.

This year it was mashing the f5 and hitting the mouse fast

Shady advertising by PB. Advertising the Apple Watch and right at 6pm all models are sold out.

I think I actually saw some at 6:01, by the time I looked again at 6:06 they were all gone, doubt they had much to begin with.

I got one in my cart, however when I tried the checkout it wouldn't let me proceed with an error. Even though their website said they still had two in stock, but were in people's carts, one which would have been mine. Waited for nearly an hour on love chat only to be told sorry, they have a website glitch. Total waste of time and poor service. It isn't the first time I have had this type of problem with PB Tech either over this type of promotion.

That has happened to me quite a bit, Go to check out, fail for some reason (last was autofill in lastpass had my old card details) and it goes from your cart but still shows as being in others carts. Have to wait till it expires from your cart then you can re-add it and retry. That was with some clearance stuff that there was only 2 of and I wanted both when I had the problem.

It shouldn't happen though, because it shouldn't go into the cart at all if it has been allocated. I did try again, and even though it said it added it to the cart, the cart showed nothing in it. However in this particular case, the product did go into the cart. So not sure what is going on. But it is a crap website, that can't handle this sort of promotion.

So I watched for over 90 minutes with this happening.

So what looks like happens is that there is a stock count of 2 but 3 people have it in there cart, it won't let you "order it" until the stock count is equal to the same amount as the all the carts of other people.

So 1 of those 3 people need to drop out and the other 2 need to hit the next button in their cart before someone else hits the add to cart.

This is why the watches were in stock but showing 1 with 2 or 3 people having it in their cart.

I had the same right up to about 7.30 (one of the last 42 yellow ones). I gave up and emptied my cart and the other person was able to purchase it.

Now the issue is when you drop it out of your cart the website will then make it available for a few seconds to others and this can start everything over again.

In that case what their live chat told me was incorrect. What you said sounds like it pretty much explains the problem and is a defect in their system. This meant that even though I was one of the first to order at dead on 6 pm I had no chance. Hopefully pb techs rep on here can chip in and explain how we weren't able to proceed in the checkout.

Like I said it was just what I was watching but every time the carts dropped to the same amount of stock then within a few minutes they sold out, this happen on 4 different watches i was watching.

I was lucky and quick on the mouse at 6pm and was able to get one for my flatmate (or an xmas present for someone else if he does not want it).

This year was a lot better than last year with the website, last year it crashed, things were dropping out of peoples carts as things would time out etc.  Like i said before I was able to pay for something last year which they could not supply (the order even said it was packed and waiting for courier).  They then sent an email saying they don't have stock and refunded me, then when I asked why it was waiting for the courier they just said "we can't get anymore stock and there are no rain checks" and pointed me to their T&C's

Whatever the case, it wasn't fair to those people who got in early and missed out because the checkout was locked by the glitch. Their staff on live chat acknowledged the glitch, so they must know it is a problem. I had a similar problem earlier on the year with a similar promo, although in that case they charged my card, but cancelled the order due to not having the stock, but then and they didn't refund me. So I had to get a charge back with my bank which was another waste of time.

I ended up picking up some Sennheiser Momentum Wireless Headphones in the end last Friday in store. I was pretty happy with $547 incl GST considering I hadn't really seen them anywhere offered below $700 locally in store or online. Phenomenal wireless headphones by the way!

Really sketchy advertising done by PB Tech for Cyber Monday, now being given the run around.
