No email from gloud, but I see that zoolz lifetime 1TB has dropped to $29.

But 500gb cold storage and 500gb warm storage. How do I tell it to send which bits to cold storage and which bits to instant pantry?

THanks

Edit: Also, is zoolz a sync or a backup, ie what happens if my files change on my PC?

Where are you seeing that?

I talked to their help about backups etc using it. According to them it was save all previous versions of changed files until you manually delete them. If you remove something from your backup set it wont delete it from their cold storage until you manually remove it.

In regards to the previous versions they did say there was an option to state how many previous you want but I couldnt find it and to be perfectly honest didnt really care :)

It was a little slow at uploading but not like super slow, about half the speed I get from Google Drive.  I have 70/30 VDSL.

Cant see much use for the "warm" storage as there doesnt seem to be any easy way of sticking anything into there other than via a browser?

I have a question about g cloud 5 year "unlimited storage" subs ...

How many devices can you use to backup to one account?

Say at the end of 5 years I want to move to another cloud storage, is it as simple as "download all photos to my computer and start again"?

Thinking of gifting it.
