The unopened bags are stored in the garage next to the loo roll. The smell has permeated through the tabs bag, through the loo roll packaging and onto the roll itself. Only one other place the smell then goes...

so yep, its a formidable scent.

So I placed my order on the 13th May and have heard nothing since then.
Every time I checked the order status with their chat bot it came back with 'In Progress'
Decided to chat to a real person today and they told me that the tracking details show my order was delivered to my chosen store on the 18th May!
Now just waiting to hear back from the local store if they do in fact have my order and why I never got any notification that it was ready for collection...

If you don't get them by next week, you can have a pack of mine @CYaBro.

I also ordered on 13 May and after you message I went in to check on my order. The lady at the check out did a bit of investigating and found out that the order did get delivered so I was able to pick up.

The store got back to me and said they haven’t received it.
Customer support chat and investigation now say it’s still in transit!

I ended up with a couple of loads of dishes last night so I did some experimenting.  According to the display, the heavy cycle has no pre-rinse.  It goes directly to wash.  I think if I use the heavy cycle, and Mauricio's priming technique I'm good.

This morning I took the unprecedented step of reading the manual.   It says not to put tablets or gels in the dispenser.  There are two little posts in the dispenser that prevent insertion of tablets (visible on Page 13 here).  At least I think that's what they're for.  It also says to put the tablet in the cutlery basket or on the bottom.

So yeah .... RTFM 😊

The "priming" it's only feasible if the water intake is coming through the hot water. Check your setup.

Someone mentioned to me that it should actually be on the cold water, as the machine heating is more efficient and economical than the gas heating we have.

So YMMV.

Wait, you've got your dishwasher plumbed to hot water?  I wonder how the dry cycle will work considering dishwashers usually run cold water around the outside of the unit which turns the walls into something of a dehumidifier to pull the moisture off the dishes with condensation due to the drop in temperature.

My lord these things STINK to high heaven.

They've left a mouldy/damp washing stink in the kitchen cupboard.

They might be cheap, they were, but ugh.  They wash fine but I'd not buy these again ever.

PM me your address. I'll pop some in the post this weekend.

Those dishes must be starting to get smelly in that dishy!

I wish I'd only bought one packet.

Even the ones in the garage are stinking out the garage.

I would've chuckled if you said,

My lord these things STINK to high heaven, but only in the afternoon!?

Just had a call from the local store, they've arrived!

Thanks for the offer though.

While you're at the store get a packet of pegs too.

For your nose.

I wonder if they're old stock and decomposing or something?  I did notice ours were a bit pongy when received but didn't think too much of it until reading the comments here.  Fortunately I've got our stored in a box in the garage but when I picked up a bag to give it a sniff test, well yes but also the smell goes onto your hands and is equally strong.

It's interesting others have picked up on the smell. Mrs Insane got me to order 10 packs, which I placed in my office... Next day I developed uncharacteristic headaches that lasted for two days and didn't join the dots, until wifey suggested it could be the smell. Sure enough my headache was gone almost immediately after taking them outside.

They appear to wash very well though, so only have one pack under the bench at a time.

Can't be good for anyone loading these by the pallet.
