But the bigger worry is the security. The shooting incident are horse event was very bad, considering we are only at day 1. There was also gang shooting last night near the TV one base. There was also a shooting even outside the opening ceremony. I wouldn't be surprised if a more major issue occurs, and I wouldn't be surprised if people or countries do pull out if security doesn't improve. You do have to wonder why they are holding it in such a volatile country.

As opposed to a less volatile country, like maybe the USA? How about a city without crime or slums or gangs, Los Angeles perhaps?

I did think the fireworks were pretty.
