Just like I said I dont think we are going to get a decider due to the rain, it looks like constant showers/rain all day at seddon.

Williamson just not urgent enough in the first or 3rd test. But also there will be a lot of talk around the SA team deliberately bowling slowly, which may have saved them the test.

Nice to know with a better captain we are able to compete with the worlds best team.

Cross fingers. This game we had a good game, but basically we are 100 ahead of where we would normally have been due to Kanes 178. And we can only be as urgent as our ability and the other team allows. So we had a good game, but against most other teams a good test result is not what usually happens.

depends if its at home or not.

we beat world #2 2-0 in tests, we should have beaten world #1 2-1 here.

they were talking about the slow over rates from SA yesterday, that combined with period when Santner was in with Williamson they really should have put their foot down then, they had the game drawn, they needed to go for the win. Another session and we most likely would have won this.

I dont blame Kane as a player, but his captaincy undeniably lacks the intent of Mccullum which is pretty much what all the commentators have said.

We are good enough to beat the best in the world at home, no question. Clearly touring we suck.

I enjoyed most of SA tour. I dont know if there is much in the commentators talking about them bowling slow now I think about it, 1.5 minutes change per end is long, but I think all teams do that depending on circumstances. Perhaps there is some merit in losing runs and a wicket in that situation, but to be fair they didnt do anything any other team hasnt been doing, in other words its something for the cricket officials to sort out not the players.

I do think we should have one the first test, we let them off the hook, and bowling 2 spinners took out our best pace bowler due to over use. The second test we got spanked. The 3rd our bowling did the usual, got the top 6 out cheap but let them off the hook with another 100. Then we opened well but probably didnt score fast enough between Raval falling and Dutchy, our middle order was just terrible and Santner strangled Williamson from getting the ball, he just didnt tick it over, he played like an opener when we needed a strike hitter like Dutchy did. I also think Williamson should have declared earlier given the potential weather.

Overall the Du Plesis is a good captain and good sport, telling the media basically we deserved the 3rd test really impressed me with his sportsmanship and humility. Williamson I think needs to be more aggressive when has a sniff of a win. He doesnt have the gambling spirit Mccullum did, in saying that we really need Taylor, Munro, Guptil, Boult, Southee and Ferguson in the team to give him something to play with.

I hope we see South Africa again soon, its good having the worlds best to play against, it raises our game and we have a lot of good young talent coming through in Ferguson and Latham and Phillips potentially as keeper.

Overall we had a great summer, beat world # 2-0 in tests, lost white wash ODI to aus in aus, one a white wash of ODI/T20s and 5 Tests against Bangladesh, beat aus in the ODIs in NZ, did well and had a really good go against the world number 1 test team and feel really unlucky to lose 0-1 in 3 tests which we should have won 2.

Overall we deserve to be T20 #1 ODI top 3 and I think we are far better than world #7 in Tests given our performance against number 1 and 2.
