I suspect that in some ways Ireland will be our France, something to prove given "recent" history. The AB's deny it was a factor in their massive hiding over France last RWC but it was obvious from the first couple of minutes, as it was the first few minutes of the second Bledisloe. The AB's are a proud group and Steve Hansen's strongest suit, in my opinion, is his selections.
Every team we will face in the next few weeks has beaten us in recent memory, they all know they *can* beat us, but I am inclined to agree with Handle, that Ireland are most likely to believe more than other teams and that makes them dangerous.
I watched the ABs put the Boks limping on crutches in the opening match in the last 10 mins - the entire Boks team should have been in hospital and not be on the field.
Ireland has no chance.

throbb: Bundee Aki banned for 3 games, don't think it'll make a difference though.
Waiting for the headlines saying if it was an AB he wouldnt have got the ban.
I don't think it was even worth a yellow card, the officials/judiciary are starting to ruin the game.

Under the current rules, it couldn't be anything but a Red card. First contact was to the head, no mitigating factors.

He had is arms wrapped around him and the tackled player was dropping. They set a precedent with Reece Hodge so there was no turning back from it now to save face, their ruining it now. Those type of tackles happen all year in Super Rugby, if those rulings flow through to next years competition, players and spectators are going to walk away from the game.

I watched a lot of SR this season (and the last) and I didn't see many (and none went unpunished, though usually yellow) of this severity.
Players need to adjust or face sanctions.
The amount the tackler dropped would not have made a difference to the part of the body that initial contact was made to, hence no mitigation.
I have yet to hear of a player leaving the game because they got red carded.

This. Players need to adjust. The guidelines may be reviewed at the end of the tournament but they won't be changed before it's over so they either suck it up and adjust, or suffer the consequences. Right or wrong, that's how it is.
Super Rugby 2018 - 8 Red cards in 220 odd games
Super Rugby 2019 - 7 Red cards in 220 odd games
RWC 2019 - 7 Red cards in 37 games so far!
Ridiculous officiating in this World Cup and it's spoiling the game. Wait until it happens in the knockout stages then you'll here it all. The directives won't change before the end of the Cup because they've dug their own hole now.
One of the Wallabies (who wasn't carded) earlier on in the tournament said he might as well go to NRL if it carries on like this.

Isnt the issue to do with OSH and not rugby? I dont see it as ridiculous officiating its about do we allow head contact or not. Someone decided not. While some refs can arguably be more zealous than others, the overriding theme is head contact is a no no. You run within whatever the rule is or you dont as I see it. And no I dont watch rugby 25/7
