Batman:

that's our biggest forward on the field.

we will be playing england style. slow the ball down and dominate with forwards.

Lol. We won't be slowing down with Barrett out there. We won't be as good on the ground but they won't be looking to play any slower.

lol maybe not, but they really going for size and strength in the forwards department, and then letting loose the wolf sam kane when english bodies are weary.

Yeah I think they are concerned about the lineout and having some extra grunt to keep the scrum stable.

England are unusual as their bench are significantly better scrumagers than their starters. Vunipola is decent but Sinkler isn't a great scrumager. Both their starting props are awesome around the park, they are both a fair bit better than Moody (outside last week) and Laulala.

Marler and Coles are both really good in the scrum, it's an area they will be looking to put pressure on.

scrum is a bit of a lottery. some refs are very good and can tell who was putting the pressure on and awards the penalty to that team.

but most referees it's a lottery and about half the time the penalty goes to the team collapsing or popping up under pressure. smh.

On an off day like this unfortunately the ABs play with young raw fancy running attacking players and what they really needed were solid forwards and a solid midfield, and a solid 10.

We were never in the game unfortunately, not even for one minute. Outplayed in every area. Looking forwards to tomorrow night.

Congratulations to England and Eddie.

As much as I dislike English rugby they thoroughly deserved this win.

Outplayed by England. But what a thoroughly dour performance from Owens. The English defence was so offside they could have tried out for fullback. Numerous instances of head/neck contact were ignored. A no-arms tackle that would have been a yellow for any other team went unpenalised. And yet the All Blacks were penalised for every jostle, shove or prod off the ball.

I will commit to saying this: England has had by far and away, the lightest and most fortuitous treatment by the refs and match officials of any RWC team this tournament. They should have been down to 14 men on two occasions this game and yet the failure of the All Blacks to fire will be the story.

Out thought, out muscled, out played.

Congratulations England, a beautifully executed plan. I’m glad the officials didn’t decide the contest. In fact the scoreline would have been much worse but for the tmo.
Unfortunately NZ played their best game a week too early (last week).
Chin up everybody, that’s sport.

That's a terrible response to a totally dominant English win. I had no issues with the 'no arms' tackle. I think the position he ended up in was fine. We were totally outplayed. And the English played a very AB type game.

I traditionally hate the English rugby style, but this wasn't a game played in that style.

We can't win forever, and have had a totally dominant period for a decade.

Well done England.

The ref played no part in this result.

They did. They decided a no arms tackle was suddenly not a yellow card, and that it was OK to grapple with player's necks in mauls. Go back and watch that knock on in the maul on our line that led to a try being overturned. Sam Whitlock is in a headlock and getting the treatment but it was totally ignored.

At all other stages of this tournament, for every other team, that's man in the bin stuff. And yet it was just ignored. Even Owens wanted to give the try to the English that they created with clear and stupidly obvious obstruction. Tell me England not going down to 14 men wouldn't have changed that game in some way.

If I were a Pacific player I'd be feeling a tad hard done by at the moment.

The first sentence says the ABs were totally outplayed. Did you even make it that far?

Yep. The problem was I read what you wrote after that.
