Heh, yet in real life, if you don't intentionally injure or kill someone, you still get punished. Just like in real life, an accident should (and does) have less punishment than an intentional one.
A couple of weeks ago, perhaps Ireland v Wales where there was a red card for a tackle from a massive cleanout from quite some way away from the ruck. Initially it looked like a "good" cleanout, but afterward when I watched it, I just kept thinking, they shouldn't do that because the player on the ground can change postition, but the player making the cleanout is pretty committed to their course and it's much more "luck" than good training, that you don't injure someone. It's rare (but I do see it occasionally) where a ruck cleaner pulls out of a big clean because it's unsafe.
I have been watching this legal fight brewing between older ex players and Rugby Union, around head injuries sustain during playing. If there is a huge payout for this, I suspect Rugby will cease to be played the way it is today.
