It's a bit of a slap in the face to see Te'lea heading overseas after getting so much game time for the AB's.

The slap in the face was rotating him as much as they did while other wingers who didn't perform as well got chance after chance.

Hopefully, this year Reece will be able to take his Super Form into the AB's. His defence and workrate is higher anyway.

I think I missed the post about the slap in the face from Mounga, when he did exactly the same.

Richie Mo'unga played for the AB"s for 4 years before departing. He stayed for a RWC. He was the countries form 10 for 6+ years. He played 57 Tests.

If you go back you'll probably find posts saying I was surprised and disappointed he was leaving.

MT played 17 tests.  If you knew he was leaving after 17 tests, as a coach, you'd likely invest your time and efforts elsewhere.

Which of my comments did you disagree with? The fact that RM played considerably more matches (Making the investment more worthwhile), or the fact that if he had indicated he had no longer term plans for the AB's, the coaches would have been better to have invested in a long term option not MT?

It was humour.  This is rugby banter, not a discussion of Ukraine or the Middle East.

If you're upset about players leaving after fewer games investment, then I guess Fainga'anuku must have really really angered you.  Oh wait...

networkn:Richie Mo'unga. He was the countries form 10 for 6+ years.

That's a dream. He was average wearing black. Never really graduated from Super Rugby. Thank god he went overseas as we've got a bunch of young 10s now starting to come through who believe they may actually have a shot at the ABs with Robertson coaching. They would have been the ones signing overseas if Mounga had stayed.

And god forbid they select Reece this year. There's a bunch of more exciting, less self absorbed wingers coming through. Personally I'd have Ioane back on the wing. And now Reece thinks he's a centre...

I guess if you're Reeces missus you'll be hoping he gets picked and doesn't go get drunk and........

This is just flat out a totally weird take.

Do you think Reece picks what position he plays? He's not Ioane who throws a tantrum and threatens to leave NZ unless NZR lets him play Center.

As for Ioane, he doesn't have nearly enough pace to be back on the wing now.  Even with clear air in front of him he couldn't accelerate away from the forwards, in whatever match he played in a few weeks back.

He's still pretty good defensively, but offers pretty much nothing on attack.  I've already mentioned all the things I think Ioane doesn't do well, it's getting boring now.

My understanding was Reiko stipulated it as part of his negotiations after being rebuffed by both his super rugby and national coaches because they didn't see him as a good fit.

It's not uncommon for wingers who want to extend their longevity to move from the Wing which requires more out and out speed, to move inward to center. Reece is often playing the role of another loose forward and his work rate is phenomenal. He has earned the right for an opportunity if he wants it, but at the end of the day, it's still the coaches decision to put him there. You may also want to consider that the Crusaders midfield has heavy casualties and this has opened the door for that to be tried.

Not everything needs to be a conspiracy or some negative attack.

Heh, you might want to consider why he struggled. For the Crusaders he had free reign to run and work his magic. For the Crusaders he was largely given distribution role under Foster. The forwards for the AB's struggled for quite a number of years, compared to the forwards at the Crusaders, and that does impact a players ability to find and use space.  He was also switched back and forward between a starting and supporting role, which will have had an impact on his confidence IMO.

I think you just have a negative nancy opinion of any player who wears Red and Black and it's clouding your view. Bias works in both directions.

You should be aware, that without emoji's or clear language, plain text doesn't portray tone well. Also, I guess I am a bit sick of being singled out for being one eyed, when there are plenty here who may not post as often, but are steadfastly biased too, but never get called out for it.

I don't mind a bit of banter. It feels like often comments aren't made in good humor though.

I didn't suggest a conspiracy. Referees and Coaches also have bad days, just like players.

I did suggest a referee was inconsistently applying rules to both teams and also inconsistently with what has been refereed previously. I did claim it unfairly disadvantaged my favoured team, and I stand by that.

You are the one who keeps bringing it up and making more of it than you need to.
