Everyone be cool.

Absolutely not.

Did I mention the Blues, the erstwhile right heirs to the Super Rugby throne, ridiculously pantsed the Crusaders?

Maybe they need a culture coach down there or something.

For anyone interested, All Blacks tickets for home tests have just gone on sale.  Pre-sale code is "MANA".  I'd imagine the Christchurch test will sell out quick.  Will be a great occasion.

I missed out on tickets to the first game in the new stadium which I was disappointed by, perhaps I could try this one.

I just grabbed some tickets for the Ireland test at Eden Park.  It was a bit weird though.  There were no tickets on sale in the middle tier of the South stand.  They are pretty good seats, so maybe being reserved for packages or something, but I've never seen them do that before.  Even the Springbok test last year, which was one of the most sort after tests, had all sections on sale.

I got Crusaders super round tickets (the 1st game) The cheapest AB tickets I could find are $100+fees. Not worth it for me. Glad its almost sold out though

On looking at it again, thats probably just presale. Surely more general tickets become avaliable later.

Unfortunately, things aren't moving that quickly in our household with my wife overseas. We are both from CHCH and she likely wants to make a thing of it.

If I miss out, bad luck for me.

I doubt that's the case.  It was a similar, but worse, pre-sale for the Eden Park Bok test last year, and no more tickets came on sale at a later date.  The only possible difference this time round is the whole tiers that aren't on sale at all.  e.g. the Eden Park South stand middle tier (4xx blocks).  I'm assuming they're reserved for packages, but I'm not sure as I've never seen this before.  Maybe they'll come on sale at a later date?  If not, maybe unsold packages seats will be released for sale at some point?

Note, it seemed to be the same with the ChCh tickets.  i.e. most of one side of the stadium wasn't on sale.  Who knows when/if they will be.

From an NZ Herald Article discussing Rennies assistant coaches choices.

https://www.nzherald.co.nz/sport/rugby/dave-rennie-faces-key-call-on-all-blacks-attack-coach-scott-hansen-vs-mike-blair/premium/KFJZDTWWFNFR3PFF2QBR25KWJE/

But it is conscious that Hansen is respected by many current All Blacks who rate his all-round coaching ability and that it may be profligate to lose his intellectual property and institutional knowledge.

More than three well-placed sources have told the Herald that Hansen scored well in the recent independent review of the All Blacks coaching personnel and set-up. They said there is confidence that if he were handed a tighter, simpler brief of running the attack – as opposed to running both the attack and defence as he was last year – Hansen would be a strong asset.

This flys in the face of opinions expoused that Hansen wasn't well thought of in the AB's ranks. I do think his lack of clarity during pressers was perhaps a contributing factor. Having said that, I am led to believe Tamiti Ellison who is awful during interviews and seems to have the personality of a rock, is developing into an excellent coach. I guess it goes to show something, which shouldn't really shock anyone, that fronting the press is nerve wracking and probably not a core skill of most Rugby Players/Coaches.

Preparing for Rennies incoming tenure as AB's coach no doubt.

If it gives us some spark and mongrel then I'm all for it.

Let's not forget that the most cards a single All Black has ever had is 5 - come on down Scott Barrett, and still the only AB to be red carded twice.  Must be some discipline issues down there in Canterbury.

Gee those Crusaders were dirty tonight.

3 yellow cards and numerous penalised off the ball issues and professional fouls.

I guess their backs were to the wall so win at any cost....

A very frustrating night as a fan, in the game against the Highlanders. 3 yellow cards and 7 for the season. Unacceptable. Rob Penney needs to get it under control.

On the plus side, our line out improved, downside, our scrum got whipped.

Attack looked better, Jordan makes a big difference. Still messed up quite a few opportunities.

Defence at the end was incredible. Denying the Highlanders a bonus point despite playing with 14 men for 30 minutes, is a pretty decent defensive effort.

We really just need to sort out our disclipline and get a bit more clinical.
