Last year it was a B/C team and pushed us hard. This years its an A/B team and much stronger than last years. They left the top 8-9 players playing in the top 14 final last weekend out.

I think it will be a LOT closer than the TAB think

IMO we'll miss Holland, and Jordan if he doesn't play. The rest, not so much.

It's pretty commonly accepted netiquette to indicate such things, your dry sense of humor doesn't translate well in written format.

Oh dear, the above sentence was a joke too. Maybe my kids are right and my dad jokes are getting worse.

The point of this humour, even if not executed to the GZ level of sense of humour, is that this is a fun week. Right? We follow sport for entertainment and enjoyment, don't we? It's the first week of the international season, just before the very first team is selected and the very first test is played. The first ever test at the awesome Te Kaha stadium, ChCh! This is fun and exciting and, for me at least, is full of optimism for the season ahead (as challenging as it may be).

I reckon we try to be happy and enjoy footy - especially this week. Dare I say, even make jokes about it. I posted the potential team I'd like to see, but it seems we mostly get replies about the problems with players and why players shouldn't be selected - rather than who should be selected and who we're excited to see play.

if one of the key members of the coaching team hasn't walked out after 5 games, maybe are we an A/B team?

10 Teams. 8 Away and 8 Home Games. 1 Less bye.

Lucky Loser situation gone - Thank the heavens.

First and Second place at the end of the season get a automatic pass to Semi's and 3-4 play 5-6 respectively.

I preferred the original format - teams 1st, 2nd. 3rd, 4th play the semi finals and the winners of those games play the final

So more games than last year with only 1 bye, and still that top six rubbish. That's going to make for a long season for the players, and crowd attendance will be spread out even thinner. Don't think this is a win at all.

Finau off to Japan. I wonder which way around it was? Rennie said nope, you aren't part of the AB's and Finau decided to chase some coin, or Finau decided to chase some coin and disqualified himself from the AB's?
