Travelling to France very shortly and wanting to check if anyone can confirm these things:

1) What is the largest USB Battery product I can take onboard with me? I have an Anker 20,000 MAH product, but I have a range of smaller ones.

2) Do Singapore 777-300, or the SIA A380 have USB I can charge with in economy?

3) Movie Selection seems limited (in terms of what interests me or I haven't already seen, what are some legal ways to view offline movies?

1) AFAIK the 'shipping' limit is 10,000, but not sure they'd take your knee off you, just insist it's onboard luggage? My laptop battery is 56,000 and nobody ever moans about those??? Your local travel agent should know definitively.

All the planes I took to England over the last Christmas holiday were 777 and had a USB charging built into the display screen, so your normal charge cable should be fine. Have to check with the airliner concerned to be positive though...

We have iPhones and iPads and found iTunes movie purchases and rentals to be fine, just chose to 'start' each rental when in the airport on wifi as had heard (old) tales about initial authentication issues with rentals, but don't know if it was needed. Netflix offline viewing was a bonus, as while stopped in the USA we got easy access to all their content too 😉
Just to be aware though, downloaded NFlix content does 'timeout' between 48 hours and 7 days depending on the actual title.

Pretty sure Google store purchases would work just as well, and play like iTunes do?

Amazon prime content is often downloadable, as is BBC movies and shows (somewhat grey area)

Usual 100Wh rule which is an IATA standard.

2 - I think both do but all USB ports in planes are completely and utterly useless so not worth using. Panasonic IFE ports are 500mA maximum so in all my testing you'll see a phone or tablet typically charge at around 350mA. This is around 6x - 7x slower than a modern QC2.0 or QC3.0 Powerbank with a QC2.0 or QC3.0 device.

No. You can stream or you can download to watch offline.

The rule isn't mAh based, it's Wh. 100Wh is the limit.

A typical 20,100mAh Powerbank will be around 75Wh as they're actually 3.7V cells.

No. You can stream or you can download to watch offline.

Only on a mobile device, not on a laptop. Also because android is dumb sometimes it doesnt work. My galaxy tab s2 doesn't work for watching offline. My iphone and my wifes ipad work well though.

You can also download rented movies from iTunes to watch later (or from Google Play too I think.) If you spoof iTunes into thinking you are in the USA and open a USA account, you will also get lots of TV shows we do not see at all in the NZ iTunes store but I don't know if you can rent those - maybe you have to buy them.

Both Prime Video and Netflix on Androd have the download option. Prime Video rentals will have an expire after you start watching (some 24,48 or 72 hours). Amazon Prime and Netflix won't expire.

Both download to SD storage.

For laptops, Netflix app for Windows 10 now has the download option.

Only need a USA iTunes account to do that, no dns spoof needed... and happily rent movies and even airplay them to an ATV on my US account too.

They should have 110V AC on the A380 and 777-300ER (including in economy), so if you bring your charger and a travel adapter this might be a a better option.
