In case anyone is interested in what is going on behind the fences at Britomart, here is a picture taken from the 19th floor of HSBC tower directly to the north of the construction site.

How about a timelapse series!

 

I see today that there are concrete portals in place for the tunnels through to the train platforms. (Bottom left corner location in photo).

They are full of some solution that they pump into the excavation they are doing under the old CPO building that keeps the foundations from falling in.

 

 

 

I'll try and find the link to what they are - very clever.

Unfortunately I'm just a visitor to the office where I took the picture and I've got no future trips scheduled.  I'll make sure to post a another pic if.when I get up that way next.
