Hi, if you were flying out of Narita Airport at 12pm, where would you stay the night before your flight?

Narita would be my first choice, but where else can you stay that has reliable direct train to Narita to catch the flight?

Thanks for any experience.

The Narita Express is a direct-to-Narita train, multiple per hour depending on the time of day, so stay anywhere on the Narita Express line.

As above, the Narita express is super reliable and is about an hour from Shinjuku Station which is right in the heart of Tokyo.  Anywhere on this line is good.  I'm not sure I would choose to stay at Narita rather than in town.

The question can't really be answered without knowing how early you're keen to get up.

The Narita Express offers easy connectivity from downtown Tokyo so the simple answer is anywhere in the greater Tokyo area. If you do stay in Tokyo you're going to need to be out of the hotel by 8:00am - 8:30am or so to get the Narita Express or train/subway to a station to catch the Narita Express. Staying at Narita itself means you have easy connectivity and don't need to travel to get to the airport.

The last time I was in Japan I spent around 4 1/2 hours traveling on 3 different trains to get from where we were staying to Osaka airport. There is nowhere else in the world I'd even contemplate such an exercise as there was only around 5 mins between trains for transfers!

Hi, there is also the Skyliner (run by Keisei Electric Railway), with stops at Ueno, Nippori and Aoto. I've used and can recommend it.
