If you are talking about an 8-abreast 787 (as originally designed by Boeing), you might have a point.
Since the only ones flying in that configuration are some 787-8s of ANA, probably not.

A 9-abreast 787 - specified by the vast majority of airlines, including Air NZ - is a nasty squeezy thoroughly unpleasant way to travel anything over a couple of hours. Just like a 10-abreast 777, btw. This is why I refuse to fly Air NZ economy class except in an A320 trans-Tasman.

The A380 is incomparably more comfortable in my personal experience.

I guess if you're 1.70m & 65kg it might not matter, but I'm quite a bit bigger than that.

the A380 is 10 abrest in a 3-4-3 configuration with a 32 inch seat pitch, the dreamliner has abreast a 3-3-3 with a 38 inch seat pitch, am I missing something?

I totally geeked out when an A350 landed in Wellington to do some short runway tests in 2018 - spent a good half day watching it at the airport
