True - you can't put a price on a good shower in those situations :)

Oops! I think I've walked into the wrong discussion.

I'll head back to cattle class.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

@freitasm:

I was Gold Elite and Gold for years then stopped flying as much and now just Silver. The Koru membership is great for priority check-in, seat selection and the lounge access.

Am reverting to Silver tomorrow :-(

I dream of silver these days.

Now that VPN access and remote desktop is supported by all my customers, and with the widespread use of Skype and screen sharing, I hardly ever fly outside of holidays. I accrue far more Airpoints out of credit card spend than I do by flying and there are no status points for the former.

Which is a shame - the upgrade vouchers were great.

My wife also. She's most unhappy!

I suggested that she gets another job in Auckland (with the unmentioned side benefit that I get all week to myself...of course I shall miss you terribly etc etc) but she's not keen just now.

@MikeAqua:

I get it for 'free' as frequent flyer.  If it wasn't free, I don't think I would buy it - based on the comparatively poor catering in the regional lounges.

Steamed pies anyone?

The broccoli and cheese croquettes are yum. We don't get them in the main trunk lounges. :(

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

@dejadeadnz:
I suspect they probably paid for passes or redeemed via credit cards, as these people typically appear to have no idea how the lounges work, e.g. taking a great deal of time to work out how to enter them and then where everything is etc. In my experience, people tend to behave far better in non-Air NZ lounges also. I have no idea what it is about those in particular that seem to attract so many inconsiderate people.

Oh don't get me started on those ones that just can't work out how to get in the lounge. Like FFS!!!! There is a boarding pass scanner. Just scan your dam pass and move on. And then the pricks that cue up at just the one scanner ARRRGHHH!!!!!

....maybe I just need to relax a bit. But it's just not that dam hard!! Same as putting your luggage up top. The aisle isn't a dressing room! You don't need to fluff around with your coat etc.

Please remain on the lower deck. The velvet rope across the stairs to the First Class and Business cocktail bar is there to remind you. Thank you for your cooperation.

Ah double beds - What a good idea to have more space for the bigger people. I bet there are no showers.
