I'm not the original poster, more interested in techniques in general (since it is hard to sort these out yourself on a single airline's website). Agree it's a pretty good price!

 

We have tried a few of those sites like Expedia. Tried in the sense of 'looked at' but didn't actually book anything. We settled on Expedia and have used it to book something like 40 international flights over the past ten years - most of which were long-haul. Have never had a hiccup or any issues.

Having said that, last trip we were booking return flights Auckland > Lisbon and booked with Emirates direct on their website. This was because we wanted to pay their small surcharge fees to select specific desirable seats in economy - and you can't do that bit via Expedia.
