So I guess with the caucus meeting today there will be an outcome of who will be leader. Something has to give with the low polling results just what that will be will be interesting to see.

Not a Labour supporter myself but interested to see how all this plays out.

Too Little too late..lol

They have become an outdated irrelevant party that has wasted 9 years in opposition. Letting the Unions choose a leader is nonsense in this day and age. Time they reinvented themselves so they can become relevant and viable again.

and Stuff.co.nz has ground to a slow halt thanks to Labour haha

What irks me about this whole thing is that Labour have known about their plight for a long time, and to initiate a leader change a couple of months from an election (after billboards have been planted) is downright dumb. They deserve to lose in a big way and definitely are not capable of governing no matter who they choose as leader. I probably would have voted for them this time if they had their act together.

At least those billboards are going to come down.

The Greens billboards (with Metiria fraudster) are all still up. Hopefully they will be coming down pretty soon too.

Joe Voter:

Any candidate seeking to lead as Prime Minister of New Zealand should ideally do so by drawing on their personal skill and expertise obtained from previous work in Finance, Commerce, Business, Trade, or other relevant Profession where they can point to significant accomplishments that delivered meaningful improvement for their stakeholders.

Ardern:  Surely an after school job in a Fish 'n Chip shop counts!

Eight weeks until the election? I think she has zero chance of turning Labour's fortunes around in that short period.

At 37 years of age, will she be considered too young by many potential voters?

Regardless, I think she will make a fine and refreshing Leader of the Opposition over the next few years.
