Here is another thought What happens if BE has to remove himself from the Leadership (illness etc not wishing this on him) Would you want P Bennet in charge? Same could be said for the labour party as I am not to sure yet about K Davis.

I wouldn't have an issue with her, as long as its sitting in BE's chair and overseeing what is already being implemented, and the usual daily stuff. No issue at all. But Davis, no thanks. I should know more about him given that there is a campaign under way, but all I know are his gaffes. He will be gone soon anyway, I'd be shocked if he wasn't. They took the new look too far

I've got about as much time for this thread as I do for Joyce's claims about an 11 billion hole. I could care less about what a politician did 30 years ago when they are at uni. This type of crap is killing meaningful debate and continuing gotcha politics.

I think there is a legitimate amusement factor if Joyce is making wildly inaccurate claims about the costs of Labour policies and then it turns out he failed numerous economics papers at University. That should not be a basis for any serious political discussion but it is worth a good laugh à la Colbert or John Oliver.

There are many "unqualified" people in NZ that are far more credible than Joyce, and more credible than people with even masters degrees behind their names. Not saying that Joyce is one such person, but sometimes university papers mean nothing. Experience and skills do, and somebody who gets the job done is better than somebody that just looks good on paper.

Wiggum: It seems that wikipage vandalism becomes the new national sport on the leadup to elections. If you look at the page history you can see history of the changes.

I recall similar dodgy edits on Metiria Turei's page just as the news about her fraud broke. Some of the info was quiet funny, but over time it got corrected. I would not trust anything on Wikipedia about NZ politicians right now.

That the man double-downed not simply on the general point that Labour's figures were supposedly dodgy but also on the actual dollar amount - despite numerous well-regarded (and some very much establishment/conservative economists) saying this was at least a significant overestimate - suggests he's a pig-headed fool who can't admit when he gets something wrong.
