Its funny I saw a post on Lijnked-in to boycott goods from China & they got reported and called a racist about a hundred times lol. Crazy stupid and not even remotely racist... but the Chinese Government has spread that narrative really well.

That's probably why you don't publicly announce you are boycotting something on social media unless you are a multi-millionaire or billionaire. The days of consequence free social media are dead and buried. Social media posts are always targets for report trolls and cancel culture these days.

Depends what you base your self worth on.  If I have a view based on my values, it doesn't bother me if other people don't like it.

I'm deeply concerned by the behaviour of the current Chinese administration, on a number of fronts.  Happy to criticise them publically.

Seems the Mulan film crew and Niki Caro might have got a peek at how the ever more authoritarian CCP ( The 6.5% ) operate.

https://www.taiwannews.com.tw/en/news/4004891

""
Medium journalist Shawn Zhang, who claims to have mapped out the numerous camps in Xinjiang, wrote that if the "Mulan" film crew landed at the Turpan airport and traveled along highway G312 to the Shanshan Desert, "They could see at least seven re-education camps." Zhang told Taiwan News that "Re-education Camp No. 87" is located in Shanshan County a mere seven kilometers away from where the Shanshan Desert scenes were shot.

Though they may have just gone wow look at that high rise development that CCP is doing for people , they are so lucky in such a distant place.

Meanwhile back in Hong Kong a future view re fate of any kind of free speech, though Tibetans knew what was to come years ago.

Now we can add Mongolia to the list.  Sigh....

Have I woken up in the 60's, not what I expected from this millennium ?

China’s Crackdown on Mongolian Culture

https://thediplomat.com/2020/09/chinas-crackdown-on-mongolian-culture/

""
In August, the government announced that when the school year began in September, classes in Mongolian would be sharply curtailed. Under the new regulations, literature, politics and history will all now be taught in Mandarin. It has been reported that similar programs are being carried out in the Tibet Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, home to the Tibetan and Uyghur ethnic groups respectively.
""
Beijing is responding by publishing lists of suspected ringleaders and offering rewards for their capture. So far, thousands of arrest warrants have been issued.
