Yep, she’s a definite contender for being the likely Bridges Leaker.
- under enormous mental strain
- prone to non-disclosed activities
- prone to using unofficial comms channels
- prior relationship with Mallard (who abruptly curtailed the investigation)

That’s a few dots that join up pretty easily.

Sounds more like rumour to me. First find some evidence, then make the accusation.

Of course it’s rumour. And conjecture.
I was responding to MikeAqua’s comment about the Wellington rumour mill

She's not the brightest tool in the shed, but I refuse to believe she'd leak docs from her own Gmail account. She was incredibly flustered once the Gmail account became public knowledge, but that doesn't suggest that anything further is automatically is related to the leaks.

Can't be her can it I thought they said it was somebody in National.

Man would be awesome if it was her though imagine the pressure she would be under then now that would be "intolerable"

I’m not suggesting that she leaked the info from her personal gmail account. That would be beyond stupid...

But it’s not outside the realms of possibility that she emailed her ex-flame Trevor to say, “you need to cancel that inquiry - I’m in over my head”

Interestingly, despite Jacinda going to great lengths in that Chris Lynch interview to state that all comms were subject to discovery under the OIA, now that Curran is not a minister, her personal email accounts are non-discoverable.
(Unless they were previously archived by parliamentary services)

To clarify I wasn't suggesting CC leaked Bridges expense claims.  The rumours are around using gmail to keep things 'off the books'.  Although Ministers' comms via gmail are still subject to the OIA, it's harder to find such messages - especially now that she has resigned.  There is speculation that may the real motive behind her resignation.

I would think using her personal mail account for Government business would open up that account to be examined publicly. By keeping it separate like that then no one needs to examine your Netflix receipts, or reminders to your partner to pick up the kids or buy milk on the way home.

CC has admitted there "may be more" emails from her gmail address to Derek Handley, that she hasn't released.

And the rabbit hole gets deeper.

So how does that work with a gmail account if she just deleted emails it's not like its on a gov server that could be recovered ??

They are probably still archived on Gmail system. Certainly not out of reach for a five-eyes partner if recovering them is deemed important enough.

The other thing to bear in mind is that Emails have both a sender and a recipient.

One enterprising blogger has already issued an OIA request to the Prime Minister's Office requesting copies of all communication received by the PM from Curran's Gmail account.  (or something to that effect)

yep - still plausible.

The speakers secret search of parliamentary services staff and SB’s wholesale sifting through of National party comms all came up without anything concrete.

It seems less likely that JLR would be willing to commit political and professional suicide just to take down Bridges but still insist that he didn’t leak the expense info

Let this be a warning to all other trolls.
