This bit in particular really sums up the whole "survivalist" milieu:

they can get into the pull top cans just fine, but the ones that require an opener? their only can opener is electric. so a good 3/4 of his canned food store is inaccessible to him unless he goes after it with a knife, which i sincerely hope he does.

We done gonna survive the end of civilisation, provided our electric can openers still work.

For Kiwis who don't know Rush Limbaugh, he's been the longest running popular voice of the extreme right-wing, starting on AM radio.

Trump awarded him with the medal of freedom.

You could argue that these two took the ball from the KKK, and really got the alt-right moving.

It was apparently worse than you describe. The segment had cheery music and was done in a celebratory tone. Similar how a winning sports team would present a recap of a recent tournament victory.

Hilarious conspiracy theory - power is out in Texas because "libruls are using wind farms" and because the Biden government is on to them.

The sad thing about this whole debacle is that this is exactly what Texas asked for. They refused to join the national grid because they didn't want the Federal government setting policy for electricity supplies. That's the national grid that would have provided them with backup power, and the federal policy that would have mandated making their grid more resilient to weather events.

They got exactly what they asked for. Which is why they so desperately need to blame AOC for it, because otherwise they'd have to admit that it's their own fault.

Gab, which inherited some of Parler's displaced users, has been badly hacked too. An enormous trove of its contents has been stolen—including what appears to be passwords and private communications.

On Sunday night the WikiLeaks-style group Distributed Denial of Secrets is revealing what it calls calling “GabLeaks,” a collection of more than 70 gigabytes of Gab data representing more than 40 million posts. DDoSecrets says a hacktivist who self-identifies as "JaXpArO and My Little Anonymous Revival Project" siphoned that data out of Gab's backend databases in an effort to expose the platform's largely rightwing users. Those Gab patrons, whose numbers have swelled after Parler went offline, include large numbers of Qanon conspiracy theorists, white nationalists, and promoters of former president Donald Trump's election-stealing conspiracies that resulted in the January 6 riot on Capitol Hill.

DDoSecrets cofounder Emma Best says that the hacked data includes not only all of Gab's public posts and profiles—with the exception of any photos or videos uploaded to the site—but also private group and private individual account posts and messages, as well as user passwords and group passwords. "It contains pretty much everything on Gab, including user data and private posts, everything someone needs to run a nearly complete analysis on Gab users and content," Best wrote in a text message interview with WIRED. "It's another gold mine of research for people looking at militias, neo-Nazis, the far right, QAnon and everything surrounding January 6."
